Here is The Associated Press high school football poll. The poll includes first-place votes in parentheses, season record, total points and last week's ranking, as voted upon by a statewide panel of sports writers. Teams are arranged in three divisions of equal size based on current enrollments.
Area teams:
Large Division: Waunakee #2 (LW: 3), Sun Prairie #3 (LW: 4), Monona Grove #9 (LW: 8)
Past ranked teams: Middleton, Stoughton, Verona, Madison Memorial, Watertown, DeForest.
Medium Division: Lodi #1 (LW: 1), Mount Horeb/Barneveld #5 (LW: 6), Lake Mills #10 (LW: 9), Clinton #16 (LW: 13).
Past ranked teams: Monroe, New Glarus/Monticello, Reedsburg, Columbus.
Small Division: Black Hawk #5 (LW: 5), Fall River #10 (LW: 11).
Past ranked teams: Pecatonica-Argyle, Oakfield, Cambridge, Darlington, Shullsburg.
