Mineral Point rallied from double-digit deficits in the 2nd half to make it a one-possession game late, but lost 73-68 at the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout on Wednesday afternoon to Martin Luther.
Isaac Lindsey nailed a pair of threes midway through the second half to make it a single-digit lead for Martin Luther, but Mineral Point couldn't complete the comeback after trailing for most of the game. On the penultimate possession for Mineral Point, Lindsey missed a pair of long three-point shots that could have tied the game, and Martin Luther was able to close it out in a 73-68 win.
Mineral Point will play again at the WBY Shootout on Thursday against Roncalli, who also lost their game on Wednesday at the Shootout, 66-56 to Brookfield Academy.
