WIAA State Soccer Tournament Day 1: Oregon wins D2 semifinal

Oregon defeated New Berlin Eisenhower 2-0 to advance to Saturday's Division 2 WIAA State Soccer Championship. On Friday, Sugar River and Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld play in D3 and D4 semifinals, respectively. Here is the recap from the WIAA:

In the second Division 2 semifinal, the Oregon Panthers sent the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions home after defeating them 2-0. Jenna Bennett fired the ball in the net from about 12 yards out in the 19h minute, unassisted.  Katie Eisele scored in the 33rd minute from close range off a scrum in the front of the net.  Saves for Melia Moyer of Oregon 5, and for Ava Seifert of New Berlin Eisenhower 1.
