Monona Grove coach Brandon Beckwith reflected on an outstanding effort by the offensive and defensive lines in a conference-opening 21-7 victory over Oregon on Friday night.
Beckwith was particularly happy with how well the team kept responding to adversity, on a night filled with penalties and other mental mistakes. Jalen Ostrowsky carried the water for the Silver Eagles, going for over 230 yards and two touchdowns in the victory as Monona Grove ran for over 300 yards total in the game.
Monona Grove didn't put the game away until late, scoring a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to seal a 21-7 win. The Silver eagles led 7-0 at halftime.
