Travis Wilson of WisSports.net discusses his work in projecting the 2018 high school football playoff field over the final weeks of the regular season, and also talks about some of the big conference races (including the Big 8) as well as his observations from the WIAA Area Meetings.
Some of the features include a playoff eligibility report, which includes a list of all teams at or above a guaranteed .500 or better conference record. Starting next week, Travis and WSN will project the 224-team field.
Conference races heat up, including in the Big 8, where three teams are tied for first. And, the WIAA Area Meetings yielded interesting discussion on a number of long-running topics, such as competitive equity and player transfer rules.
