Dave Richardson thought Verona responded well in win over La Follette

Verona coach Dave Richardson thought that Madison La Follette would be a trap game after the Wildcats' big win last week over Madison Memroial, and it almost came to fruition, as the Lancers were in contention well into the third quarter after making some big plays in the middle quarters.

"An onside kick or a score here and there would've really made this one a different game," said Coach Richardson in the postgame. "I'm happy with how we responded, though."

Verona got six rushing touchdowns and good field position all night to defeat La Follette and clinch a playoff spot. Verona won 47-14 over La Follette in our Game of the Week broadcast.
