Adversity on and off the field has helped Middleton football grow

A pair of close, tough losses on the field (vs Verona in Week 2 and vs Madison Memorial in Week 4), and devastating floods off of it during the early part of the season, has provided opportunities for Middleton's football team to overcome adversity this season as they get ready for Homecoming on Friday against Sun Prairie.

Co-Head Coach Tim Simon says that the early-season losses forced the Cardinals to get back to working on their own game, and Middleton has since reeled off three straight victories. Off the field, Simon tells us that the early-season flooding in southern Wisconsin that impacted Middleton and Cross Plains helped show who some of the biggest leaders were on his team, and that all of the experiences combined have pushed Middleton to their run of recent success.

Next up: Sun Prairie, and a win would put Middleton at worst one game back in the Big 8 entering the final week, when the Cardinals would take on La Follette.
