With a Homecoming loss still fresh in the minds of Middleton players, Middleton looks to build upon a solid second half against Sun Prairie from Week 8 and push for a Level 1 playoff victory against their conference rivals from the Big 8.
Co-head coach Tim Simon says that the second half of their game against Sun Prairie was more even than the first half, in which Middleton couldn't run the ball well and the Sun Prairie defense smothered the backfield on nearly every down. Since the teams played so recently, the lead-up to the game is the same as always, since both teams are very familiar with one another having met in the playoffs a number of times over the years, in addition to being conference rivals.
