The defending Division 2 state champion Waunakee Warriors will face perhaps their biggest challenge yet in the 2018 season, as they will host fellow undefeated conference champion Monona Grove in Level 3 of the WIAA Football Playoffs.
Coach Pat Rice of Waunakee says that Monona Grove's defense will pose some real problems, as will their excellent line play. Coach Rice also says that last week's win over DeForest was a character builder, as the Warriors held off DeForest in the final seconds to win 23-20 over their Badger North rivals.
