With big runs to close out the first and second halves, Madison East improved to 5-0 on the young season by defeating Madison Memorial 66-49 on Tuesday night in a battle of undefeated squads. Four Purgolders reached double figures in the victory.
Anthony Washington led all scorers in the game with 18 points, while Damontae Thompson added 13. Jevan Boyton had 12, while Jadyn Walsvick had 10 points to go with three steals.
For Memorial, Cade Ellingson scored eight points in each half to finish with 16, but no other Spartan finished with more than seven points.
With the win, Madison East improved to 5-0, with five double-digit victories to start the season.
