Undefeated #3 Madison East rallied from a halftime deficit to take down defending Big 8 champ Sun Prairie 62-55 on Tuesday night to maintain the Purgolders' perch atop the conference standings.
Montae Thompson led the way with 20 points. Anthony Washington and Keonte Jones added 13 and 12 respectively, while Jevan Boyton chipped in nine to lead East to victory.
Sun Prairie's leading scorers were Brock Voigt and Delaware Hale, with 12 points apiece. Rajai Williams also had 10 for the Cardinals.
With a win, the Purgolders remain in first place, with a half game lead on Madison Memorial in the Big 8, who they defeated two weeks ago by 17 points. Sun Prairie falls two games back, alone in fourth place in the conference.
