Women's Hockey: Wisconsin, Ohio State tie 1-1 Friday night

The No. 1 Wisconsin women's hockey team battled to a 1-1 draw against No. 10 Ohio State on Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd at LaBahn Arena.

The Badgers (28-4-1, 18-4-1-0 WCHA) got off to a fast start on the power play Friday night thanks to top-shelf blast from junior Abby Roque just 8:43 into the contest.

Despite an intense back-and-forth second frame, no pucks found the net in the period. Badgers junior goaltender Kristen Campbell was electric in the second, making multiple saves on a penalty-kill late in the frame.

Ohio State (18-12-1, 12-10-1-1) got on the board in the third grabbing a goal with just over 12 minutes left in the period to tie things at one apiece.

After a deadlock in overtime, the Buckeyes grabbed the extra point in the WCHA standings with a 1-0 shootout victory.
