Madison native Jerry Kelly won the 2019 AmFam Championship after besting tournament host and Edgerton native Steve Stricker as well as Retief Goosen in a playoff on Sunday at University Ridge in Madison.
It's Kelly's first win at the event.
Kelly and Goosen both birdied the par-4 18th on the first playoff hole, while Stricker bogeyed. It was the same result the second time around, which eliminated Stricker. Kelly birdied the 15th on the third playoff hole to win the event.
Kelly, Stricker, and Goosen all finished with a 15-under score at the end of 54 holes.
The win moves Kelly up to second place in the Schwab Cup standings, up from ninth. Stricker enters the top ten at #10, up from 12th.
