Mallards win rain-shortened game over Battle Creek 4-3 Monday night

The Madison Mallards (40-27) grabbed their 40th victory of the season in six innings, after the game was called due to lightning and rain. Madison defeated Battle Creek (22-45) 4-3 to grab the game one win. 

Taking the victory on the mound for the Mallards is Deylen Miley (Bellarmine). Miley powered through the top of the sixth without allowing the Bombers to tie the game or regain the lead. 

Madison and Battle Creek will meet for the series finale at the Duck Pond on Wednesday, August 7. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. 

The 2019 Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase will be hosted at the Duck Pond Tuesday. The showcase features the leagues top 100 players in a double header, game one is set for 4:05 p.m. and game two is slated for 7:35 p.m.
