Texas' largest Buc-ee's location will soon have a new, massive $6 million car wash. My San Antonio reported that the Buc-ee's in New Braunfels will be adding the massive car wash next year.
The car wash will span a whopping 5,647-square-feet. Construction on the project will begin on February 1, 2023 and will be finished by September 1, 2023. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the estimated cost of construction is $6 million.
Texas Buc-ee's locations are no strangers to car washes. The longest car wash in the entire world currently stands at the Buc-ee's location in Katy. The Katy car wash has 255 feet of conveyor.
It is still unknown if the New Braunfels car wash tunnel will bigger than the one in the Katy location. The New Bruanfels location is the largest Buc-ee's convenience store in the world, standing at 66,335 square feet.
The New Braunfels location was also chosen as the state's best Buc-ee's location. My San Antonio ranked every Buc-ee's in Texas from best to worst. The website explains that this location is bigger, meaning it brings along more things to buy. Locals even meet up just to hang out at this store.
