They say when you go to the ballpark, there's a chance you'll see something that you've never seen before. On Monday night, fans in attendance saw something nobody has ever seen in MLB history.
Josh Hader, in relief, struck out eight batters in 2 2/3 innings pitched to set an MLB record for most batters struck out in fewer than three innings pitched.
Milwaukee needed every out, as the Brewers topped the Cincinnati Reds 6-5 to snap a four-game losing streak.
The eight strikeouts by Hader are the most by any Brewers pitcher in a game in 2018. The mark also matches a career high for Hader.
