Josh Hader of the Milwaukee Brewers is off to a blazing start in 2018, having struck out 39 batters in only 18 innings pitched, and has allowed only four hits in 62 batters faced.
Not only that, Hader has his first career hit this season, and has allowed only three runs (two earned) so far this season.
After a record-setting performance against Cincinnati on Monday night, where Hader struck out eight batters in fewer than three innings (the first player to ever accomplish that feat, and also the most strikeouts thrown by a Brewers pitcher this season), Hader stands at 39 strikeouts in 2018.
