Despite a little controversy and a ninth-inning ejection of Craig Counsell, the Milwaukee Brewers were able to overcome adversity with strong pitching en route to a 1-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.
In the latter stages of Tuesday night's game, controversy emerged over some of the called balls and strikes by umpire Angel Hernandez, which reached a boiling point on a walk in the ninth inning. Craig Counsell intervened between some frustrated Brewers players and was tossed from the game.
Ji-Man Choi scored the only run of the game, as the Brewers' bullpen put up four scoreless innings of relief in yet another strong outing.
