A big early inning for the St. Louis Cardinals was too much for the Milwaukee Brewers to overcome, as they fell 6-1 on Tuesday night at Miller Park.
Zach Davies suffered another loss since his return from the disabled list. A four-run third inning by the Cardinals put the Brewers in a hole they couldn't get out of, and mustered only three hits and one run the rest of the way.
St. Louis hit three home runs in the game.
Brewers shortstop Tyler Saladino was injured during the game, turning his ankle. If he ends up on the disabled list, recently-optioned Orlando Arcia may be back in Milwaukee sooner rather than later.
