Brewers swept by Cleveland, lose 3-1 on Wednesday

Cleveland completed a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday afternoon, winning 3-1 and taking both games of a short two-game series.

Cleveland's bullpen preserved the win, tossing two innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts.

A three-run fifth inning propelled Cleveland to the victory.

Milwaukee will have Thursday off before taking on Philadelphia for a three-game weekend series. The Brewers have lost four of their past five games, all on the road, against Cleveland and the Chicago White Sox.

Manager Craig Counsell, who was ejected late in the contest, recapped the loss after Wednesday's game (below). Milwaukee had nine hits Wednesday and eight Tuesday, but only managed to get three runs on 17 hits in two games against Cleveland.
