Brewers pound Cardinals 11-3 on Thursday night

Milwaukee took advantage of four St. Louis errors as the Brewers topped the Cardinals 11-3 on Thursday night.

The Brewers racked up 12 hits in the game, including multiple-hit performances from Eric Thames, Lorenzo Cain, Travis Shaw, Jesus Aguilar, and Manny Piña. Brent Suter struck out five in seven innings and allowed only two hits in his start.

Milwaukee remains one game ahead of Chicago in the NL Central, and put another game between the Brewers and Cardinals in the standings as St. Louis fell 5.5 games behind. Most of the division is struggling in the last ten games, as the NL Central is collectively .500 in that span.
