Keon Broxton homered twice, stole a base, and scored three runs as the Brewers won for the second time in as many nights against the Reds, 8-2 on Friday.
Broxton's efforts came on a night where Milwaukee was already without outfielders Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich. Then, Ryan Braun exited the game as well, with the Brewers sporting an outfield at the end of the game, from left to right, of Eric Thames, Broxton, and Hernán Pérez.
The score was 3-1 Brewers entering the top of the ninth, where Milwaukee was able to put up five runs to take a commanding lead into the bottom of the ninth.
Josh Hader and Jeremy Jeffress worked scoreless seventh and eighth innings in relief of starter Chase Anderson, who allowed only two hits while striking out five over six innings of work.
The four-game series continues Saturday in Cincinnati.
