Milwaukee's first game of a three-game series with Miami went to the home team, as the Marlins got a walk-off RBI from Bryan Holoday to defeat the Brewers 4-3 on Monday night.
The Brewers had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Josh Hader got touched up for a couple of runs to put the Brewers behind 3-2. Milwaukee tied it in the eighth but lost in the tenth inning via the walk-off.
Chase Anderson allowed eight hits and issued two walks in four and two-thirds innings, giving way to the bullpen as Jeremy Jeffress came on to take the Brewers through the sixth. Corey Knebel gave up the eventual game-winning hit in a tied 3-3 game in the tenth inning.
Jesús Aguilar hit a home run in the game, his NL-leading 23rd of the season. Aguilar is up for the Final Vote in the National League, and fans can vote through 3 p.m. Wednesday at brewers.com/vote.
