With six first-inning runs, the Milwaukee Brewers were able to take care of the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, 8-4.
Four of those runs came via a Travis Shaw grand slam. Shaw, who had infamously struggled in bases-loaded situations, finally got one to go. Christian Yelich racked up three more hits, boosting his batting average to an NL-best .326.
Freddy Peralta threw six innings of two-hit baseball, giving up two runs and striking out eight rockies. Corey Knebel and Jacob Barnes each had scoreless innings, but the Brewers ran into some trouble in the ninth inning. Matt Albers gave up three hits and two runs, and Joakim Soria walked a batter and gave up a hit as well before Josh Hader came in to earn a one-out save.
