Atlanta had 13 hits and 10 runs in a dominating victory over Milwaukee on Friday night. The Brewers were shut down by Kevin Gausman, who allowed only six hits over eight innings for the Braves.
Milwaukee only mustered six hits in the game, three of them by Mike Moustakas and Jonathan Schoop. Freddy Peralta only recorded three innings pitched, allowing seven hits and five walks as well as seven runs. New acquisition Jordan Lyles gave up another three runs, and Adrian Houser pitched the final eight outs for the Brewers after being called up from Triple-A earlier Friday.
With Chicago's win over Washington, the Brewers are 2.5 games back in the NL Central, and only a game up in the Wild Card on Atlanta.
