Brewers fall 6-1 to Reds Wednesday night

Milwaukee dropped to 27-28 and one game out of the playoff picture with a 6-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night.

Joey Votto's first-inning two-run home run off of Adrian Houser would prove to be all the Reds would need, as Milwaukee was only able to scratch across one fifth-inning run. The Brewers managed just five hits in the game, three of them by Avisail Garcia.

Milwaukee is battling the Marlins, Phillies, Cardinals, Reds, and Giants for a spot in the playoffs, with all teams within a game and a half of one another.

Next, the Brewers wrap up the regular season with five games at the St. Louis Cardinals. Milwaukee will play two games on Friday, the first of which is considered a Milwaukee home game, and wrap up the regular season Sunday afternoon.
