The Milwaukee Brewers got some bad news in the last 48 hours.
According to multiple reports, Brewers Manager Craig Counsell spoke with reporters on Friday afternoon and revealed that Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell suffered significant damage to his labrum. Counsell said that could put his season in jeopardy.
Mitchell suffered the injury on Tuesday night in Seattle sliding into third base. He was removed in the bottom of the inning when he came up holding his arm after a long throw to home plate.
According to Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin, Mitchell will see a doctor in Los Angeles on Monday and could have surgery as soon as Tuesday.
