Joey Wiemer's Walk-Off Hit Gives Brewers 4-3 Win Over Orioles

The Milwaukee Brewers scored two runs in the first inning, and one in the final inning to beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 in ten innings on Tuesday night. Joey Wiemer's walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth inning won the game for the Brewers.

In the top of the first inning, the Brewers scored twice with two outs. Brian Anderson and Abraham Toro both knocked in a run with singles. It was 2-0 Milwaukee at the end of the first inning.

Baltimore tied the game right away in the top of the second inning on a two-run home run by Aaron Hicks.

The game remained tied until the seventh inning when Joel Payamps gave up a solo home run and Baltimore gained a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Milwaukee tied the game on Brice Turang's RBI single.

Devin Williams and Peter Strzelecki pitched scoreless innings in the ninth and tenth innings and set up Milwaukee for success in the bottom of the tenth. That is when Milwaukee won the game. Wiemer hit a two-out single down the left field line to score Andruw Monasterio from second base and the Brewers won 4-3.

Milwaukee is 33-28. The second game of the series will be played on Wednesday night at 6:40pm at American Family Field. After the game, listen to Tim Allen on The Baseball Postgame Show on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and the iHeart Radio App.
