Report: 2020-21 NBA season won't start before Christmas Day

For Milwaukee Bucks fans hoping to quickly move on to next season, you'll have to wait until after the holidays.

Shams Charania of Stadium Sports & The Athletic reported Thursday afternoon that the NBA's league office informed the Board of Governors that the season won't start earlier than Christmas Day, and that the start date is 'fluid.'

The NBA Draft date set for November 18 is also fluid, according to the report.

When the NBA set up its bubble, it came with the understanding that the next season wouldn't begin in October like usual, regardless of the status of the coronavirus pandemic, and indicated that the start date would be December 1 at the time.
