The search is over for the next head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.
On Saturday morning, ESPN reported that the Bucks are hiring Toronto Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin to lead the team. Former Raptors Head Coach Nick Nurse and Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson were the other two rumored finalists.
Griffin spent the past four years as the top assistant for Nick Nurse in Toronto and started his coaching career with Milwaukee back in 2008. Jon Horst, Bucks General Manager, was in the front office at the time.
According to ESPN, negotiations between Griffin and the Bucks are underway on a multiyear deal.
According to Bleacher Report, Giannis Antetokounmpo “vouched” for Griffin to be hired as the head coach.
