The Carolina Hurricanes took Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final and now head to Las Vegas for Game 6 with a 3-2 lead and an opportunity to hoist the Cup on Sunday. Golden Knights HC John Tortorella says he’s leaving some clothes back in Carolina in anticipation of returning for Game 7 and providing “bulletin board material” for the ‘Canes but DP isn’t buying the outrage. He likes Tortorella’s confidence and thinks that’s the exact message he should be sending.
Dan Patrick: “John Tortorello, who is no stranger to making, you know, great comments, interesting comments, controversial comments, he basically said, ‘Hey, I'm going to leave clothes here in Carolina.’ He vows to return to Raleigh. He's going to leave his clothes there for Game 7. And everybody's like, ‘Oh, that's bulletin board material for the Hurricanes!’ I go, ‘What do you think he's going to say?’ Come on! The outrage that we have sometimes, ‘I can't believe what he said!’ That's not outrageous.”
