It was a night for upsets, including a top seed in Division 1 going down, as the WIAA Boys Basketball Tournament turns towards Sectionals next week.

Division 1 saw #1 Madison East fall to #8 Racine Horlick 74-67 in one of the more surprising results of Friday's action. #7 Waunakee took down #2 Racine Park on the other side of the bracket, setting up sectional semifinals next week with Horlick getting Sun Prairie and Waunakee set to face Madison La Follette.

Division 2 wasn't as topsy-turvy, with the top lines advancing in Sectional 3 with one exception: #3 Elkhorn beat #2 East Troy 56-50, setting up a sectional semifinal match-up with Westosha Central. Last year, Westosha Central defeated Elkhorn in a sectional semifinal, rallying from a double-digit deficit late in the second half to advance all the way to state. On the top side of the bracket, Mount Horeb and DeForest will face each other for a third time.

Wisconsin Dells won a regional title in Division 3, as did Beloit Turner. Two upset winners included #4 Edgerton toppling #1 Prairie du Chien by 14 points and #6 Columbus getting past #2 Omro.

In Division 4, #4 Fennimore got past #1 Darlington by five points, while #2 New Glarus took down #3 Mineral Point. The bottom half of Sectional 3 saw #1 Parkview advance to their first regional title in over half a century, while #2 Bellevile also won to advance to face the Vikings.
