Five Madison-area teams will play for a state championship on Saturday.
Middleton, Beaver Dam, Monroe, Marshall, and Black Hawk will all play for state championships on Saturday in the WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament.
Middleton upset top-seeded Mukwonago 62-53 to advance to the D1 championship. The Cardinals will get Bay Port at 8:30 p.m.
In the D2 Championship, it'll be an all-Badger Conference showdown when #1 Beaver Dam faces Monroe. Beaver Dam demolished Hortonville 68-48 to reach the title game, while Monroe outlasted Whitefish Bay 59-47.
Defending D3 champ Marshall faces undefeated Laconia for the Division 3 title. Two one-loss squads, Aquinas and Melrose-Mindoro, play for the D4 crown. Black Hawk meets Clayton in a clash of undefeated teams in Division 5, which kicks off Saturday's title tilts at 11am.
