Last year, a mostly-inexperienced Verona Wildcats squad took a big home win in the rain against Middleton in Week 2 of the 2018 season. This year, the Wildcats boast experience at nearly every position as they look to challenge the Cardinals in Week 2 of the 2019 season.
Nearly all of the pieces are back in place, particularly on offense and in the defensive backfield. In the front seven, Verona is playing some of its standout offensive linemen two ways, while moving Keegan Lindell from a loaded backfield on offense to play middle linebacker on defense to solidify that side of the ball.
