After Verona's 61-35 win over Middleton, Coach Dave Richardson told The Big 1070 that he's fortunate to have special athletes on the team.
Verona ran for 588 yards and piled up 735 yards of total offense as the Wildcats took down Middleton on Friday night in week 2 of the high school football season.
Now that Verona is 2-0 to start the season, the Wildcats will see more expectations come their way. A week 6 showdown with defending Big 8 co-champ Madison Memorial looms, as does a later-season match-up with Sun Prairie.
