Adam Hobson led Stoughton with four touchdowns, three of them on the ground, as the Vikings won the Battle For 138 42-34 over Oregon on Friday night.
Hobson's touchdown pass in the game was to Nathan Hutcherson, while Quinn Arnott added two rushing touchdowns, including a big 52-yarder in the second quarter to give the Vikings a boost with the longest play from scrimmage on the night.
Oregon didn't go quietly into the night, using a balanced attack to keep pace late in the contest. An 80-yard kickoff return by Mason Grender brought the game to within two scores in the second half, and Oregon trimmed it to an eight-point game with under two minutes to play thanks to a Teague Szudy touchdown run. However, Stoughton recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.
Stoughton moves up to 2-1 on the year and 1-0 in the Badger South, while Oregon falls to 1-2 and 0-1 respectively.
