DeForest has allowed just 20 points in five games this year, powering the Norskies to a 5-0 start in 2019.
Coach Mike Minick of DeForest brought back 16 All-Conference players from last year, and the experience showed as the Norskies pulled away in a 52-13 win over Sauk Prairie on Friday night. The Eagles scored on their opening drive, and DeForest led just 10-7 late in the second quarter.
"I knew that we had a game on our hands," said Minick, regarding the start by Sauk Prairie.
DeForest scored with 28 seconds before the half, and then on their first two drives of the second half to pull away. Defensively, the Norskies kept Sauk Prairie under 200 yards of offense.
