Kabaris Vasser scored on a three-yard touchdown run as time expired to give Madison Memorial a 27-24 Homecoming win over Verona on Friday night, completing a 17-point rally in the fourth quarter to stay undefeated.
Vasser, who had a costly first-quarter fumble that ended one drive and had another fumble later in the first half, got redemption in his first game back in three weeks.
Memorial scored with under five minutes to play, forced a three-and-out, then drove down the field on the last drive of the game to stay one game up in first place on Madison La Follette.
Memorial didn't allow Verona to score after halftime, forcing three three-and-outs in the second half.
