The game of the week in the state of Wisconsin was a match-up of two undefeated rivals, Waunakee and DeForest. DeForest won 35-13 to end Waunakee's 34-game conference winning streak and claimed the Badger North Conference championship.
Waunakee struck first, going up 6-0 late in the second quarter. DeForest got a score of their own just before halftime and led 7-6 at the break.
The Norskies added two more third-quarter scores, but Waunakee answered with a 76-yard kick return for a score.
In the fourth quarter, DeForest pulled away after a blocked punt was recovered at the five, and one five-yard touchdown later, the Norskies led 28-13. DeForest added one more fourth quarter score for good measure.
