Confidence is high in Sun Prairie as the sixth-seeded Cardinals, already owners of upset wins over #3 Verona and #2 Fond du Lac, look to topple the top-seeded undefeated champions of the Big 8 on Friday, Madison Memorial.
Coach Brian Kaminski cited confidence as the biggest difference between the team's mid-season losses and the two playoff victories thus far.
In regards to the rematch, Kaminski said that because the teams know each other so well, the past results in this series won't matter as much. Memorial won the season opener between the teams each of the last two years on late touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Memorial and Sun Prairie have met twice before in the playoffs, both times in Level 1. Sun Prairie won those games in 2012 and 2017.
