For the second time in school history, the DeForest Norskies are state football champions!
Listen to the full broadcast of Friday's Division 3 state football championship game as DeForest came back to defeat Menasha 8-7 with a dramatic score and two-point conversion with 32 seconds remaining.
Gabe Finley scored from 13 yards out to cap off a 63-yard drive, and Trey Schroeder's jump pass to Nolan Hawk put the Norskies ahead with 32 seconds left in the title game. After Menasha scored on their opening drive, the DeForest defense didn't allow another point in the game.
The championship is the first since 1982 for DeForest. It was also Mike Minick's final game as head coach.
