Two losses to two of the state's top teams in the span of three nights last week gave Madison Memorial plenty of momentum for the rest of the regular season and beyond.
After navigating a very difficult portion of their schedule, the Madison Memorial Spartans bounced back with a win over Middleton on Friday night, 63-42.
Memorial had lost to La Follette and East following a big win over Sun Prairie the week prior.
Memorial (10-5 overall, 6-5 Big 8) led by seven at halftime and got balanced scoring from its core of Kyle Yu (17 points), Yacouba Traore (15), and Kole Kerkhoff (12) in the victory.
Middleton was led by Cole Deptula (14) and Logan Raffel (12).
On the rest of the regular season schedule, Memorial will face Beloit Memorial and Madison West each twice, as well as both Janesville schools and Verona. Middleton, meanwhile, still has to play La Follette twice, as well as East and Sun Prairie.
