Only 80 teams remain in the WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament as regional champions were crowned on Saturday night across Wisconsin.
In Division 1, only one road team won, that being #5 Stevens Point over #4 Hudson. However, #7 Watertown took #2 Divine Saviors Holy Angels to double overtime before falling. Locally, #1 Middleton will take on #4 Janesville Craig at Beloit Memorial in one sectional semifinal, while #3 Waunakee will play #2 Madison Memorial at Kenosha Tremper.
Two number-one seeds fell in Division 2, although #1 DeForest and #1 Beaver Dam were able to advance. DeForest faces #2 Oregon at Baraboo while Beaver Dam will play #2 Slinger at a site to be determined.
A pair of #1 seeds went down in Division 3 as well, including Turner hitting a three in the final seconds to win over Clinton 43-41 (read more below). Local pairings include #1 Platteville against #3 Prairie du Chien, #1 Marshall against #3 Laconia, #4 Turner against #2 Martin Luther, and #1 Lake Mills against #3 Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
Division 4 went nearly all chalk, with only one upset by seeding in the entire field: #5 Pacelli over #1 Auburndale 48-46. In Sectional 3, defending champ Aquinas will play Mineral Point, while Poynette and Cambridge meet on the other side in local action. Colfax in Sectional 1 will have all of their remaining games streamed on iHeartRadio at WATQ.
A number of three-seeds advanced in Division 5, but every #1 seed moved along. Thursday's sectional semifinals will feature the first match-up this playoffs of teams that met at state last year: Black Hawk versus Fall River. River Ridge will rematch with Wauzeka-Steuben as well.

In a memorable finish, the Turner Trojans capped off a late second-half rally with a go-ahead three-point basket by Jenn Njoo with four seconds remaining to take down the top-seeded Clinton Cougars in a Division 3 regional final on Saturday at Clinton High School.
Clinton led until the final four seconds for the entire game, using a stifling halfcourt defense to limit the Trojans to only seven made baskets through the first 25 minutes of the game. The Cougars got a number of timely baskets from Liz Kalk, Jayden Nortier, and Elli Teubert to lead by as many as 13 in the second half, before the Trojans made their move.
With 4:36 left in the second half, Turner erased a double-digit deficit to get within one point late. With 8.7 seconds left, Sabirna Fitzgerald took an inbounds pass that went halfway up the floor, found Njoo, and the rest is history.
Njoo made two other second-half three-point baskets to help the Trojans come back and take their first lead of the game in the final seconds.
Turner will face Martin Luther in a sectional semifinal on Thursday at East Troy High School.
