Wisconsin falls in overtime to Purdue on Friday night at the Kohl Center 84-80. Here's what Mike Lucas had to say about the game.
"Purdue’s defensive strategy on Ethan Happ was consistent with what many teams are doing. Picked spots for hard doubles. Otherwise stuck with single coverage & Happ took advantage with 31pts (14of17FG). But Boilers turned up heat on ball forcing season-hi 17 turnovers (Happ had 8)"
"Turnover flurries continue to haunt this team. They came early in the 2ndH at WKU, late in the 2ndH vs Minny, throughout 2ndH & OT vs Boilers (who ended up scoring 20pts off those mistakes, 2 of which came in back-to-back poss in OT). Fundamental passing breakdowns were costly"
