Here are the biggest takeaways from Wisconsin's 35-14 win over Michigan by Mike Lucas, Badgers broadcast analyst and host of Lucas in the Morning.
- Paul Chryst will never be mistaken for riverboat gambler. But he had the ultimate confindence in offense by going for it on 4th & short from own 34 on 1st series. Helps to have JT as your tailback of course. Made statement by driving ball down Michigan’s throat on no-frills drive
- Unsung play of game belonged to Faion Hicks who made TD saving stop on Ronnie Bell at end of long pitch & catch. Defense then got takeaway blunting threat (Reggie Pearson forced fumble) So instead of counter punching UW’s opening score, Wolverines were bemoaning another turnover
- Domination. Michigan’s defense couldn’t get off field in 1stH. It was impressive how Badgers kept grinding while JT was getting attention in medical tent. When the Wolverines did have the ball, they couldn’t block Zack Baun who’s playing at level of Schobert, Watt, Biegel, Jacobs
