Andrew Brandt analyzes Aaron Rodgers' contract situation

Former Packers executive Andrew Brandt believes that Aaron Rodgers will become the highest-paid player in the NFL this offseason, and that the Packers' philosophy with Brett Favre was to never let his contract get more than two years away from expiration.

Brandt told the Rich Eisen Show that whether it gets done today or on the eve of training camp, that a deal will get done this offseason.

Citing Matt Ryan's $30 million per year deal, Brandt calls that a "data point" in negotiating the next contract for Aaron Rodgers, and believes Rodgers will get more than what Ryan did from Atlanta.
