Even if Aaron Rodgers never makes it back to the Super Bowl, his mega-deal contract extension is worth it for the Green Bay Packers.
That's the assertion of Dan Patrick, who believes that the Packers are in a state of transition and don't have the pieces necessary to win the Super Bowl at the moment. However, with a chunk of the salary cap set aside now for their star quarterback, Patrick says that it's nearly impossible to contend without a franchise quarterback, so whatever the cost of the contract is, it'll be worth it to Green Bay to have hope that they can break through despite a weaker supporting cast.
