Brett Favre's first game as Packers quarterback was memorable for Jim Lampley, who recalls the moment that Favre stepped in during a game against the Bengals and caught his own first pass in the NFL on a batted ball.
Lampley says it's very memorable not only for the number of times the game gets replayed now on NFL channels, but how it very surely changed the course of the Packers' franchise, setting them on a run that they're still on with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.
Lampley also shares anecdotes about the reaction of the crowd and the booth at the time Favre entered the game.
