Pro Football Focus looks at the 2018 Green Bay Packers, trying to figure out what went wrong for a team expected to contend for a playoff spot.
On offense, the Packers had one of the top pass-blocking units per PFF, and one of the league's top quarterbacks, but that certainly failed the eye test. The Packers gave up plenty of sacks, and Rodgers' stats were padded somewhat in games that were either not in question or not helping the playoff cause.
Defensively, the secondary held up as the rest of the unit suffered major injury after major injury.
Special Teams was not a plus for the Packers. Their two longest kick returns came in the final two weeks of the season, by which time the Packers were trying just about anything to get a return going in meaningless games against poor competition.
A coaching change seemed in order, but the bigger changes will come on the roster, where Green Bay mainstays such as Clay Matthews and Randall Cobb will be plying their trade elsewhere in 2019.
