A dominant offensive performance in the opening week of the 2020 NFL season has many observers more optimistic about the Packers' outlook this season.
Green Bay's 522 yards of offense and 43 points against Minnesota boosted perceptions of those in the national media, changing the direction of the narrative somewhat from an offseason that saw little in the way of additions to bolster any specific area of the roster.
Particularly, Green Bay drafting a quarterback in the first round (and trading up to do it) sent a jolt throughout the league, perhaps signaling the Packers were setting up for a post-Rodgers rebuild. However, after Rodgers threw for four touchdowns in the opener, it's made some reconsider where Green Bay is headed this season.
